Upset of the week: Nico Mannion Plays Hero in Buzzer-Beating Win Over No. 26 Shadow Mountain

The top two public schools in Arizona faced off Friday night, and it was an instant classic.

Nico Mannion banked in a three-pointer from 25+ feet as time expired, lifting Pinnacle (AZ) to an 82-80 win over No. 26 Shadow Mountain.

Pinnacle (AZ) defended home turf in what turned out to be one of the best high school basketball games of the early season. Mannion got off to a slow start in the matchup against Division 1 guards Jovan Blacksher (Grand Canyon) and Jaelen House (Arizona State).], but he rebounded with a standout second half.

Mannion, an Arizona commit, scored 37 points in total, helping Pinnacle end Shadow Mountain's 70+ game winning streak against Arizona competition.
