Chris Ledlum talks the latest with his recruitment

NY Jayhawks small forward Chris Ledlum was expected to have a big spring, but has done much more than that. Ledlum’s athleticism and physical play has stood out on the Adidas Gauntlet and he showed it off at the NBPA Top 100 Camp as well. The class of 2019 prospect was excited at having the opportunity of competing at an event as competitive as this.

“It’s great, I’m just coming out trying to do my best every time I’m out there,” he said.

Going into this spring Ledlum had something to prove and prepared as much as he could to show what he was capable of.

“I just was working hard every day and doing everything I had to do to get better every day,” Ledlum said.

He aims to impact the game in a variety of ways on the floor.

“A little bit of everything, I like to be a very versatile player,” he said. “I like to rebound, score, defend and all of the most important things.”

His list of schools continue to grow as high major offers are starting to come in. Wake Forest, Seton Hall and Pittsburgh are some of the most recent schools to offer.

“There are a lot of schools involved with me,” said Ledlum. “Some of the higher level schools are Pittsburgh, St. John’s, Seton Hall, Harvard, Yale and a lot of the Ivy League schools.”

He liked getting an offer from Jeff Capel and the Pittsburgh Panthers. He likes the history the program has.

“It’s very interesting because they’re a great basketball school so it’s cool that they are recruiting me,” he said.

Ledlum picked up an offer from Seton Hall on an unofficial visit earlier this month. He gave his thoughts on the visit.

“It was really cool because they aren’t too far,” Ledlum said. “It was nice and the campus was nice.”

Since the school year is over he will look to see some schools in the near future.

“I’m going to start visiting schools now since the high school year is over,” he said. “I’m going to start visiting more schools.”
