Five-Star wing Wendell Moore, standout from Cox Mill High School (N.C.), announced yesterday that he is now down to five schools in Duke, North Carolina, South Carolina, Wake Forest and NC State. Moore caught up with Prep Circuit and discussed his final list of schools and plans with his recruitment.
Q: You are now down to five schools. What do you like about each of them?
Duke: “They are a great program with great tradition and the coaching staff is great. Coach Krzyzewski is also one of the best ever.”
UNC: “UNC is another great program with great tradition. They have a really good coaching staff and Roy Williams is one of the greatest coaches.”
South Carolina: “They are a really good school that has had a lot of success in the last few years.”
Wake Forest: “Their whole coaching staff is really cool and I have a great relationship with all of them. They have done a great job recruiting me.”
NC State: “Coach Kevin Keatts did a great job in his first year and I think he will continue to win. That’s a great program.”
Q: Have you set any official or unofficial visits to these schools?
A: “The only official I have set for right now is the first week in September to NC State. The rest of the dates I am still working on.”
Q: When do you plan on taking the next step and making your college decision?
A: “For now I’m trying to focus on USA Basketball and winning the peach jam. As far as a decision I want to try to have everything done by the beginning of my senior season.”
