One of the top class of 2018-point guards still on the board in Tai Strickland, prospect from St. Petersburg High School (F.L.), told Prep Circuit he has set an official visit to Wisconsin for March 15th-17th. Strickland, son of former NBA player Rod Strickland, did a Q&A on the latest with his recruitment.

Q: Why did you decide to schedule a visit to Wisconsin? What is your relationship like with them?

A: “They were one of the first high major schools to recruit me,” he said. “It's a great program and my relationship with them is great. I've talked to either Coach Greg Gard or Coach Howard Moore almost every day since they offered me and that goes a long way with me.”

Q: What schools are recruiting you the hardest right now?

A: “Wisconsin, Rutgers, Minnesota and Maryland,” Strickland said.

Q: What do you like about Maryland, Minnesota and Rutgers? Are you down to these four or are you still open to other schools?

A: “I am still wide open,” Strickland said. “Maryland is close to home and I love the way their guards play,” Strickland said. “I love the Rutgers coaching staff especially with most of them being high level point guards in their past. They also run a very guard friendly system. Minnesota has also shown me that they run a great guard system as well.”

Q: After Wisconsin, do you have any other official visits planned?

A: “I don't have specific schools I plan on visiting, but I know I'll definitely visit Rutgers soon,” said Strickland.

Q: When is the timeline for your decision?

A: “I'll decide sometime near signing day,” he said.

Q: What will be the deciding factors with your decision?

A: “I’m looking for a coaching staff I'm comfortable with and school that I'd enjoy and develop for four years,” said Strickland.
