It was fairly obvious when R.J. Davis was down to four schools when he set three official visits for the fall and previously went on an official visit to Georgetown this summer, but he made it official at Archbishop Stepinac’s open gym on Monday. The class of 2020 point guard spoke to Prep Circuit on the four programs that remain for him.
Pittsburgh | Official Visit 9/20-9/22: “I’m looking forward to forming a bond with the guys. I want to get to know them a little bit more. They are a young group, they have some key pieces, are still rebuilding and I’m looking forward to getting a feel for them a bit more.”
Marquette | Official Visit 9/27-9/29: “I spoke to Markus Howard and Symir Torrence and they both think it’s a great situation for me. I want to see where they are at when I get up there and learn more about their environment. I’ll get to know them a little bit more and I speak to Steve Wojciechowski and Dwayne Killings on a daily basis as well.”
North Carolina | Official Visit 10/11-10/13: “They are going to start picking things up and building a relationship with me and my family. They are trying to get two guards to replace Cole Anthony.”
Georgetown | Official Visit 6/26-6/27: “My relationship with them is great. Coach Patrick Ewing, Akbar Waheed and the rest of the staff are very genuine people. They care and they feel as if I can make a big impact on their program. They think I can play with James Akinjo, Mac McClung and the rest of the guys.”
Q: How are you planning on coming to the point of making your decision?
A: “I am going to go on all these visits, reevaluate each school and make a decision sometime soon.”
Aidan Prukop, a class of 2020 guard from Mater Dei (CA)/California Stars, has committed to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
