Jaden Springer started things off at the third session of the Under Armour Association with a 30 point performance. The BMaze Elite (TN) guard showed off his shot-making ability and continues to be in the conversation as one of the best pure scorers in his class. Auburn recently did an in-home visit with Springer’s family. He talks about this and much more with Prep Circuit.
Q: Bruce Pearl had an in-home visit with your family. How did that go?
A: “That was pretty cool, I talk to Bruce Pearl and his coaching staff a lot. That shows me how much they want me at their program.”
Q: What has his message been to you?
A: “He feels like I can come and lead the team to the same thing and maybe even a national championship. He says he will put great people around me to only make me better so that’s his pitch.”
Q: What schools have been active with you?
A: “Memphis, USC, Texas, Maryland, Tennessee, Wake Forest, NC State, Florida and more.”
Q: Tennessee has done a good job showing that you are a priority for them. What do you like about them?
A: “I feel like I have a pretty good relationship with the coaching staff and I talk to them like every week. Last week, their coaching staff came down so I have a pretty good relationship.”
Q: What would you say is the next step in your game?
A: “More guard skills like my passing and my handle. I’m still getting better with my shot and starting to shoot it more so little stuff like that.”
Q: What NBA players do you look at to help your game?
A: “I like Damian Lillard, DeMar DeRozan, Kashif Leonard, Kyrie Irving and all of them. I pretty much watch everybody because you can take something from everyone in the NBA.”
